WHO WE ARE
Nearly 50 Years of Community Theatre
Since 1977, Willits Community Theatre has brought people together through the magic of live performance. As we approach our 50th anniversary in 2027, WCT continues to grow while remaining rooted in the idea that inspired its founding: theatre belongs to the community.
Today, WCT presents a full season of plays alongside concerts, music, dance, comedy, special events and visiting artists. Our intimate theatre at 37 West Van Lane is a home for performers, directors, designers, technicians, volunteers and audiences from throughout Mendocino County and beyond.
Growing The Next Generation
One of the most exciting chapters in WCT's story is Gateway to the Stage, our growing performing arts education program for young people.
What began as a summer theatre camp has grown into an expanding year-round program offering young people opportunities to act, sing, dance, improvise, create and discover the confidence that comes from stepping onto a stage.
Through summer productions, after-school classes and new educational opportunities, Gateway to the Stage is helping WCT invest in the artists, audiences and community leaders of the next generation.

Willits Community Theatre is a nonprofit organization sustained by the generosity, creativity and participation of the community around us.
Our Mission
The mission of Willits Community Theatre is to produce theatrical performances of diversity and quality, and to maintain a community performing arts facility geared to serve the greater Willits area.
As we look toward our 50th year, that mission continues to grow: honoring nearly five decades of community theatre while creating a place where the next generation can find its own way onto the stage.
Willits Community Theatre is proud to be a member of the Willits Chamber of Commerce, California Community Theatres, and the Arts Council of Mendocino County.
